John Hunt.com has recently undergone a server upgrade, so things should be a bit quicker now at my expense! Enjoy.
john-hunt.com has been down for the last 24 hours or so due to me messing around with it’s kernel when I shouldn’t have. Fortunately, I keep backups of everything so we’re back online!
I’ll be moving john-hunt.com to a server which I don’t tinker with soon, so it should never happen again with any luck!
I have just installed a cool web logging tool called Drivel. It allows you to update your web log from a gnome app rather than via the site. This is handy as I’m too lazy to wait for a page to load.

Remember, update your bookmarks by using ctrl+d, lots of new photos in there and clever bits and peices. Many thanks to Nick! No more ‘wheres the gallery’ now eh?! eh?

Yup, now you can easily donate to the gallery, the web site or just me in general by clicking on the donate button (under the links at the side) and giving me £££ via paypal. I will make sure that Nick gets a big chunk of it due to his hard work on the gallery.
Donating will ensure this site stays around. It’s not free to run, it’s cost me over £200 already..!
Oh and by the way, gallery is ready, we’re linking it in soon (maybe today). It’s pretty neat, plus there’s loads of new photos Nick’s taken and I have a fair few to add myself. Including the one of me being sick on myself!

On another note, I stupidly forgot to turn the server database back on! Whoops.
Right, I’m moving john-hunt.com over to a new much much much faster server than this one. This will also save me £20 a month. You may experience problems trying to access the site over the next couple of days, but don’t worry, it will return!
Update:
All done, there shouldn’t be any loss of service, you should just notice it speed up a bit when your ISP’s master dns records get updated!
Yup, Nick has finally started working on the new gallery which will incorporate all the old stuff with comments. I personally have quite a few new photos to upload also. Sorry about the delay.
Whoops, accidently left another instance of MySQL running which was stopping the site from working. Silly me.
The gallery is back (kind of) until Nick (who’s now in charge of the gallery) fixes it up good and proper. Enjoy. Pics of the latest Cube/Academy nights will be on there soonish, Nick has those at the moment too!
